Contributing to a sustainable future

Tri-Wall is committed to its part in the global drive to bring about a more hopeful future for our planet. We acknowledge the escalating impact of climate change around the world and the threat it poses to our collective health and wellbeing. Our dedication to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles is reflected in our ongoing efforts to minimise our footprint and contribute to a more resilient and responsible global community.

Through our operations as a leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions, we have a responsibility to set an example. So we work to reduce our environmental impact and promote transparency in our industry. And we invite all our stakeholders to join us on this journey towards a more sustainable and resilient future.

Our commitment

Through initiatives that seek to positively impact planetary health, and efforts to minimise our CO2 emissions, we’ll also build a more resilient industry for future generations.

Our current climate goals are our most ambitious yet, with a steadfast commitment to reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in line with the Paris Agreement, and achieving net zero carbon by 2050. Our comprehensive plan outlines specific targets and actions to achieve a substantial reduction in our carbon footprint

  • 46% CO2 reduction by 2030
  • Net zero carbon by 2050

Prioritising people

We put the health and wellbeing of our people first, which means understanding what matters to them and ensuring their voices are heard. Our team plays a pivotal role in driving sustainability within our organisation. We have a dedicated and passionate workforce committed to integrating sustainable practices into every aspect of our business operations. Through training, awareness programmes such as ‘Pathways to Net Zero’, and ongoing engagement, we empower our employees to actively contribute to our sustainability journey.

Collaborating for change

We also recognise the significance of establishing strong partnerships to attain sustainable goals. We take great pride in collaborating with esteemed partners like Inspired PLC. Through this partnership, we seek to leverage expertise, insights, and best practices to consistently improve our environmental and social impact.

Promoting transparency

We believe that transparency and accountability are the only way to promote and further ESG best practice in our industry, and beyond. We disclose our credentials on prominent platforms, including EcoVadis, CDP (originally the Carbon Disclosure Project), and Sedex. These platforms exemplify our commitment to rigorous environmental and social standards, providing stakeholders with access to comprehensive information about our sustainability practices.

Investing in our future

As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce GHG emissions, we are transitioning all our waste services to have a lower environmental impact. This strategic move involves not only reducing emissions, but also maximising recycling and contributing to a circular economy. Importantly, our commitment ensures that we meet the criteria for Zero Waste to Landfill, reinforcing our dedication to responsible practices.

“Sustainability is not just a corporate objective for Tri-Wall. It is an integral part of our identity. Through collaboration, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to ESG principles, we strive to minimise our impact on the environment, and help to change the outlook for our planet.”
