Baroness Bloomfield, a member of the House of Lords and Councillor Keith Dunn, The Honorary consul for Japan in Wales, visited Tri-Wall UK head office in Monmouth for a site tour.

Following discussions on the capabilities of both the UK group and Tri-Wall’s global network, the tour took in the customer innovation centre, dangerous goods test laboratory and view of the factory housing our corrugator line.

Baroness Bloomfield, who speaks in the House of Lords around issues for the economy of Wales commented “I was delighted to be able to visit Tri-Wall. Like many, I am probably guilty of taking packaging for granted, so few of us buy anything needing more than protection from the elements and clumsy deliverymen. But who would have thought that technology could be developed to enable lithium-ion batteries to be transported safely in the air or that cases could be developed to withstand so many pounds of pressure? A huge thank you to those who gave up their valuable time to show me around.”

Keith Dunn commented, “A most interesting visit to a Japanese owned Company that is making a real difference to the economy and lives of the people of Wales.”
